Actually we should write about the museum we visited yesterday, but I was sick and couldn’t join. So I will tell you what I did instead. As some of you might know, it was Donnas (my hostmums) birthday yesterday and Ben and I organized a surprise party for her. To be honest, Ben organized the most things and my job was just to bake a cake. But I can tell you the cake was pretty awesome.

At first I wanted to bake the cake Monday night but after 2 hours of baking I decided to go to bed and just forget the whole cake idea. Of course I didn’t choose an easy cake, no, it had to be something special. A kinderbueno cake…

I had to make creme, ganache and three cake layers before I could put them together.

Then I had to paint ganache on the sides of the cake until everything was smooth.

And finally I started decorating the cake. I will be so happy and excited to see Donna’s face when she sees her surprise party and the cake.
